About Me
I am board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in both Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry. I am originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania and graduated from The Schreyer Honors College of The Pennsylvania State University with degrees in Psychology and Sociology before working as an Evaluation Coordinator at the University of Colorado investigating health disparities. I earned my medical degree from the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed an Adult Psychiatry residency at University Hospitals Case Medicine Center/Case Western Reserve University, where I served as a Chief Resident. I then completed a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where I also served as a Chief Fellow.
For over five years, I was a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Department of Psychiatry & Human Behavior where I worked with patients in diverse settings, including a tertiary care children’s hospital, a college counseling center, a community mental health center, and a university faculty practice. In addition to seeing patients, I served as the Director of Child Outpatient Services and the Associate Program Director in the department’s Psychiatry residency and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship where I supervised and taught psychiatric trainees. I continue to mentor and supervise fellows in their outpatient caseloads.
I specialize in treating a wide variety of psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and ADHD. I have extensive experience working with college students, graduate/professional students, and young professionals. I understand the unique challenges of this life stage and am passionate about helping patients navigate it successfully. Finally, I am a LGBTQIA-affirming provider and consider it a privilege to serve this diverse community.
