Psychotherapy

I have extensive training in multiple modalities of psychotherapy. In addition to my formal psychiatric training, I have sought out additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at the Cleveland Center for Cognitive Therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia. I have supervised psychiatric residents and fellows in psychotherapy for many years.

For some teenagers and adults, I provide psychodynamic psychotherapy. This form of psychotherapy is most appropriate for clients who want to move beyond the surface and understand how past experiences shaped the present so that they can move more mindfully into the future. My approach is individualized, affirming, and client-centered. Together, we explore past dynamics that contribute to your current sense-of-self and how you relate with the outside world.
